So, Lately

The last month of my life has been, without question, the most productive and inspiring month of my life.

I owe it all to water. Well, ok. I owe lots of it to water.

For as far back as I can remember, I've had what one might call a 'weight problem'. For years, this has caused me depression, low self esteem, and various negative physical effects. I was tired all the time, even after sleeping for 8 or more hours. I rarely felt healthy. And the list, it grows and grows.

About 3 weeks ago, I started drinking 2 liters (or more) of water a day, mostly in an attempt to lose weight. It is the simplest change I have ever made, but also the most dramatic. I am no longer tired all day. I eat less. I feel *amazing*. It has inspired me to be a better student. It has inspired me to eat healthy (6 pounds gone so far) and to exercise more. No longer do I desire to drink soda throughout the day.

I cannot believe the positive effects that drinking 2 liters a day has given me. Why didn't anybody tell me this earlier? I don't know if I would have believed them. The results are too amazing, and the cause is too simple.

Now that you have read this post, I have a challenge for you: Starting right now, drink a minimum of two liters a day. Find and use a bottle that contains one liter, and take it with you everywhere. Drink at your leisure, but be sure to do at least two of them. It could be the start to something dramatic in your life. Do not accept excuses from yourself. It sounds challenging but I assure you that it is not. If I can do it, then you can also.

Methinks I'm gonna give it a shot. I've been looking for something else besides trying to eat healthier to try, and this seems like a simple thing that I can do.

Now if I can only get the water in this apartment to taste good...

that is awesome. I'm doing it. I also find that cutting out "white" stuff--white sugar, white flour, white fruits (bananas) and veggies (corn, potatoes) has made a huge difference in the way I feel too. I've had to start a new probiotic treatment for lupus that requires cutting all all sugars whether it be glucose, (refined sugars and carbs) or fructose (fruits) and I feel pretty amazing. Lots more energy and less belly fat. I'll mos' def' add *water* to the treatment plan. :) Nice chillin with you the other night. hugs--Jess
